The Great Migration

When: Mid July to Mid August

Where: Masai Mara, Kenya

Length: 8 days with option for extensions

Group size: 12

Join us as we witness the greatest event in nature. More than one million wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River from Tanzania into the Masai Mara in mid July. Words really can't describe the scene.

What can you expect to see during your week long stay? We should see lions, leopard, cheetah, elephants, zebra, antelope, hippos, and giraffe just to name a few. We will most likely witness a heart stopping river crossing with wildebeest and zebra jumping into the river and swimming in croc infested waters.

Our two camps:

Entim Camp is ideally located in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve and overlooks the Mara River.

Lerai Camp is located in a private conservancy just outside the park.

Our guests experience the best of the Masai Mara by having three nights in the reserve and three nights in a private conservancy. We'll be in the heart of the migration action and then have our own private game reserve. This allows for walking game drives, horseback game drives, and night time game drives which are not allowed in the reserve.

Possible extensions:

Ol Pejeta is a private conservancy north of Nairobi just below Mt. Kenya

Lake Nakuru is home to thousands of pink flamingos.

Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking in Uganda

Amboselli National Reserve to see large tuskers below Mt. Kilamanjaro.
