We have YouTube videos on what we pack here: https://youtu.be/k0dD7sM_Ir8
The great thing about packing for your safari is you don't need multiple changes of clothes. The camps will wash your clothes each day if you like. Ninety-nine percent of people over pack. I highly recommend only taking a carry on. You can do it.
Clothing to pack:
a light but warm jacket. It gets cold on morning game drives.
fast drying long pants or leggings.
a long sleeve shirt
fast drying travel underwear
sports bra for the ladies
one or two pairs of shorts (tennis shoes and sandals are fine)
non cotton t-shirt
Earth tone clothes are recommended.
Other Essentials:
A hat
sunglasses
suntan lotion
Insect repellant
a buff to cover your face if it is dusty
Optional items
binoculars - note we will have binoculars for you to use at camp but only enough for one per couple.
camera
laptop or iPad
a headlamp
a journal
charging bank
